Tranmere Rovers centre forward Calvin Zola has rejected the opportunity to go and represent his country, The Democratic Republic of Congo in the fast approaching African Cup Of Nations to be heald in Egypt.

Zola told IC Liverpool that he would prefer to stay on the Wirral to further his career in England. Saying he wishes to get a regular starting place in the Rovers squad as his priority.

This is good news for Tranmere fans, as the tall Peter Crouch like striker is really begining to hit form which we have not seen from Calvin in a white shirt yet.
