Youth team player involved in fatal car crash

Tranmere Rovers' 17-year old winger Danny Moran is this evening in hospital following a fatal car crash in Liverpool yesterday.

Moran, who has only joined Tranmere in the last 18 months following his release from Liverpool, is in a critical condition following the accident and is currently on a life support machine in hospital.

A skillful winger, Moran's performances at youth team level this season have seem him rewarded with a number of appearances for Tranmere's reserve side, where his pace and skill have been tricky for defenders to handle.

There were a further three people involved in the crash, two of whom fatally died, whilst another, a player on the books at Liverpool Football Club, broke his leg.

All Tranmere Rovers fans would like to wish both footballers a speedy recovery and see them back on the football field soon, whilst we would like to express our condolances to the families of the two teenagers who have died.

Best wishes.
