Tranmere Rovers' 18-year old centre back Luke Waterfall has today joined Altrincham on a one-month loan deal.

Waterfall joined Tranmere in the summer on a one-year deal, this his first professional contract, as he joined from Barnsley, who had released him, on a free-transfer after impressing whilst on trial during pre-season.

The tall Yorkshireman has so far played two games for the club, coming on as a substitute in the 2-0 defeat to Grimsby in the Carling Cup and then starting against Accrington Stanley in the Johnstone's Paints Trophy about a month later, a game that Tranmere won 1-0.
