Tranmere Rovers 31 year old goalkeeper, Steve Wilson, is ready to step in and make his debut for Rovers against Barnsley tomorrow night, should number one keeper John Achterberg not recover from injury in time.

Number One choice John Achterberg has injured his pelvis and missed training today which has put Wilson, who signed from Macclesfield in the summer, on stand by and ready for the match.

Brian Little doesn't seem to optomistic about the big Dutchman making the starting XI, telling the official site "If the game was today, he wouldn't have played, so there is a strong chance he won't play tomorrow."
