The striker has been missed all season. If Tranmere had had a poacher this season, the league title would have been in their grasps, as without a 6-yard box striker, a team rarely goes anywhere.
As for the goalkeeper situation, Tranmere wouldn't need a new goalkeeper had Russ Howarth not been released. Howarth, former England U-20 goalkeeper made only 15 appearences for Rovers in three years, but Brian Little has made the decision to release the young keeper.
