Steve McManaman: Just released by Man City so would be a free transfer. Wages would be high but if Ryan Taylor goes we could fund his wages. Would be brilliant in the center of midfield as well as on the right and can play left side of midfield if needed too. An added bonus is that he is best mates with Jason McAtear.
David Johnson: Would be another free transfer. The former Nottingham Forrest attacker said he'd be willing to play in League One with Forrest so why not with Tranmere? Scored 44 goals for Forrest in three season I believe, so just under 15 goals a season. Worth the wages!
Anthony Gerrard: Cousin to Steven Gerrard and recently released by his club, therefore, another Free transfer. Rumoured to be on his way to Cardiff but I doubt they can afford him. Would be very able replacement to Ryan Taylor.
Juan Ugarte: A prooved goal-scorer with Wrexham this season, went on a spell of scoring 15 goals in nine games. Would be very cheap and is best mates with Xabu Alonso at Liverpool so wouldn't want to move to far from his best mate.
