Tranmere vs Stoke match preview

Prenton Park will host it's final game before the 2007/08 season kicks off against Leeds on Saturday 11th August, as Tranmere host Stoke City tonight (Friday 3rd August).

Ronnie Moore is set to name a strong starting XI, with the players named in the starting line up likely to be those whom will start against Leeds next week, barring any injuries.

Tranmere however could be without midfielders Steve Jennings and John Mullin with both picking up knocks in pre-season matches last weekend, Jennings against Bolton and Mullin against Altrincham. This could result in Adnan Ahmed starting with Paul McLaren in central midfield.

Stoke are also set to name a strong side in their final pre-season match before the season kicks off in eight days. Clint Hill and Steve Simonson are set to make returns to Prenton Park for the first time since their moves away (to Oldham and Everton), whilst Richard Cresswell could make his debut if he completes his move from Leeds in time.
