Tranmere make two new signings

Brian Little has completed his first signings of the season, as 28 year-old Left Winger Sam Aiston and 31 year-old Goalkeeper Steve Wilson sign for Rovers.

Aiston has made over 200 carear appearences, playing at one time in the Premiership with Sunderland, however, he has been at Shrewsbury Town for the last four years. This summer, his contract ran out and so Little snapped him up, knowing oh so well how Rovers needed a new Left Winger after last season.

Wilson started his carear back in 1992 with Hull City, making a number of appearences under Brian Little for Hull. Wilson has made well over 350 carear appearences, 150 of those coming for Macclesfield Town, where he was voted player of the year in 2003.

Both players show a step forward for Rovers. Aiston will most probably feature regually for Rovers next season, whilst Wilson will give John Achterberg a challenge for the goalkeeper spot.
