Rovers booked their place in the semi-final of the competition with a 1-0 win over League Two side Morecambe last week, whilst Scunthorpe beat another League Two side, Rochdale, by the same scoreline, although both teams would have been hoping for a better draw on Saturday morning.
The other semi-final in the Northern Section of the competition will see an all League Two clash as Rotherham take on Darlington.
