Third Time Lucky

"Third time lucky"
On Friday night, Ronnie Moore is hoping it will be a case of third time lucky, as Rovers bid to go top of League One when they face Port Vale.

Three points behind table topping Nottm Forest, Tranmere will go top should they beat Vale, as both sides have the same Goal Difference (+6), and Forest don't play until Saturday.

On the occassions when Rovers have played Huddersfield (2-2) and Nottm Forest (0-0), they let the opportunity to go top pass them by, but this time, Ronnie Moore is determined to take the chance to go top.

The gaffer told www.tranmererovers.co.uk "We've got the chance to go top, albeit maybe only for 24 hours," he told the club's official website. The last two opportunities we haven't taken. So I'm hoping this is third time lucky. We've got to put pressure on other sides playing on Saturday."

Moore also commented that Tranmere had been searching Championship and Premiership clubs for a striker, but have so far found none that clubs are willing to let go.
