The rumour begin

Following Brian Little's departure as manager of Tranmere Rovers today, the rumours have begun and names are already being linked.

So far, I've heard the names Peter Reid and Jason McAteer linked but more suprisingly a current manager of a League Two club has been linked with the vacant managers post today.

Local radio station, Radio City, are reporting that Chester City boss Mark Wright is being chased down by Lorraine Rogers following the departure of Brian Little today.

Wright, who has managed both Oxford United, Peterborough United and Southport as well as Chester City, signed a fresh two-year deal at the Deva Stadium after he managed to guide them to saftey following his re-appointment as manager after he guided them back to the football league in the 2003/04 season.

It is also reported that Wright was offered the job just two weeks ago, whilst Little was still in the job and before the Ex-Liverpool player and Ex-England international had signed a new deal at The Deva Stadium.
