The Injury Front

Tranmere Rovers number one keeper John Achterberg has returned to training following surgery on a stomach muscle sustained at the end of November.

This is brilliant news for Brian Little and his squad as Rovers hope to push for the play-offs in 2006 after five unbeaten league games.

Since Achterberg sustained his injury, Rovers have been unstable in the Goalkeeper position, with Steve Wilson making a couple of mistakes along with new recruit Dino Seremet who messed up for Rotherham's second goal on Monday 2nd of January.

Also on the injury front, Chris Dagnall who injured his ankle around the same time as John Achterberg sustained his injury is set to return in the reserve game against Rochdale on Wednesday evening whilst Central Defender Paul Martin has stopped wearing his back support and is expected to return to action as soon as February.
