The Injury Front

When you are struggling and in the bottom 8 or so, things never seem to go for you, and Tranmere's injury list is no exception.

Although Paul Linwood and Jason McAteer are back in training and ready for first team action again, Rovers have three extra casulties to add to the list after their 1-1 draw at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.

Chris Greenacre injured his ankle in a tackled with Blackpool's influential player Coid, and is very unlikely to make the squad on Saturday against Brentford, whilst Ian Sharps (knee) and Ian Goodison (back and calf) are also carrying injuries but should be fit for the League One clash.

However, Mike Jackson is still out due to a Calf Strain and more X-rays on Stiker Chris Dagnall have revealed no break, but it is still likely he will be out for around six weeks.

Number One Goalkeeper John Achterberg is also still out with a Stomach Muscle Tear, but could return to training within three weeks, other than the first estimate of six weeks.
