Gareth Taylor, one of seven squad members who spent their evening being quizzed by the fans
Around 100 Tranmere fans gathered last night in the Prentonian Suite to quiz Rovers boss Ronnie Moore, chairman Lorraine Rogers and players Chris Greenacre, Shane Sherriff and Robbie Stockdale (first half) and Chris Shuker, John Mullin and Gareth Taylor (second half).

The players were asked to give advice to youngsters who wanted to make their way into the game, whilst they were also quizzed on their favourite players and their favourite ever matches.

Ronnie Moore commented on refereeing standards, whilst he also mentioned that the four youth players who are in and around the first team are not quite ready for first team football yet, but will be potential stars.

The boss also said that he felt it was time for Ian Sharps to move on when the defender left for Rotherham in the summer, whilst he also said that he believes Rovers could make it to the Championship.

Lorraine Rogers answered questions on finances and attendances, as well as being quizzed on seats in the Main Stand.

The Chairwoman said that the money for Kevin Ellison came from a "guessed transfer budget", based on what the club thought attendances would be this season, and said she didn't think fixing the seats in the Main Stand was priority, as people can sit in the other empty seats if they are unhappy.

Overall, it was a very good evening with all seven players, the manager and the chairman making a great contribution.
