Sorry for Tremarco

Tranmere Rovers manager Brian Little has admitted he feels sorry for young left-back and left-midfielder, Carl Tremarco.

"I feel sorry for Tremarco because he would get into most sides in this division but has one of the most consistent left-backs and one of, if not the best left-backs in this division ahead of him" Little told the Official Rovers site. "Carl is very unfortunate." He continued.

"Sometimes I feel Carl can do a job ahead of Gareth *see below*, when we need to attack teams down the flanks. He did a good job against Huddersfield doing this and then when Calvin was sent off, he had to play more defensively, and did that well!"

*Other examples of when Tremarco has played at left-midfield for Rovers this season include Blackpool (a), 10th December 2005 and Rotherham (h), New Years Day 2006.*

It seems though, that Tremarco's break at left-back is soon to come. Using her program notes for Friday nights home game vs. Huddersfield Town, Lorraine Rodgers told fans that Gareth Roberts wished to leave the club in the summer.

She wrote that Rovers highly thought of left-back and Welsh International Roberts was unsettled at Tranmere and thought it was time for a new challange. Also stating that he wished to leave in the summer.

This is however not a stone wall move, as Tranmere Rovers FC and most importantly manager Brian Little are doing the best to keep Roberts at the club. Surely the best way to do that would be with promotion.
