Slash Football Ticket Prices

After becoming a regular follower of my team away from home as well as at home this season, I have realised how much supporting Tranmere Rovers FC is costing me.

As an Under-18, I haven't yet experienced the full ticket prices, but will come into contact with them in only a couple of seasons which is when I will really have to start forking out all the pennies.

I believe it is costing me £12 to view Walsall vs. Tranmere Rovers on Boxing Day, which is a rip off for a child to go and watch a football match. Hardly encouraging people to go, let alone come back.

At a contrast, it is £5 for a youngster to go and watch a Tranmere home match and the entrance fee at Blackpool, where I visit on Saturday is only £7. I believe this is about the right amount for a child, if not a little too expensive.

In League One, an adult can expect to pay around £20 at grounds such as Scunthorpe United, Bradford City, Nottingham Forest, Swindon Town, Port Vale and I'm sure a few more.

Whilst at a Premiership game, one could expect to have to pay around £30 or more for a ticket at clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal and I'm sure a few more clubs, give or take £5.

Overall, what I'm getting at is ticket prices are far too high in all the leagues. Knowbody should be expected to pay more than £15 to go and watch their team play. Knowbody wants to pay these ridiculous prices and if entrance fee's are brought down, Player Wages will have to be brought down as a result, which is only a good thing.
