US investors Mirabilis Ventures Inc, based in Florida, and Tranmere Rovers Football Club have finalised a deal that will allow £900,000 to be made available to Tranmere in the current season.

The funding will be provided as a loan on what are described as "attractive terms" to the club, and on conclusion of the deal.

Lorraine Rogers commented: "This is a significant deal to Tranmere...."

"Most of the money has been earmarked to cover player's wages and investment in our youth setup in the current season. Some of it will be spent on small but important improvements to Prenton Park."

George Stuart, a spokesman for Mirabilis Ventures Inc. said: "We have a great interest in English football and have identified Tranmere as a well run club with good prospects. We're delighted to have concluded this deal and look forward to working with Tranmere."

Mirabilis Ventures will have NO say in the running of the club.
