Shuker skips into team of the year
For the third year in succession, Tranmere Rovers had been represented in the PFA team of the year for the 2006/07 season after Chris Shuker was selected in the team by his fellow professionals.

The scouser, who signed for Tranmere in the summer from Barnsley on a two-year contract has been a constant threat to league one defenders this season with his pace and trickery and it is he who has supplied the most crosses in the league this season.

Joe Murphy, the ex-Tranmere goalkeeper now with Scunthorpe United also made the team of the year, aswell as prolific strikers Billy Sharp (Scunthorpe), Luke Varney (Crewe) and Blackpool winger Wes Hoolahan who scored against Tranmere earlier this month.

Shuker follows up appearances in the team from ex-Tranmere players Ryan Taylor (now with Wigan Athletic) in the 2004/05 season and Gareth Roberts (now with Doncaster Rovers) in the 2005/06 season.
