Harrison leaves Tranmere after 12 years of service
After much debate and speculation, Tranmere Rovers have today announced that goalkeeper Gavin Ward, defender Olly James and midfielders Danny Harrison and Jason McAteer have left the club following the end of the 2006/07 season.

Between them, the four players racked up around 250 appearances for the club, with Harrison making nearly 150 himself butr it has been decided that their services will no longer be required at the club.

Ronnie Moore commented that the need to bring in fresh, new faces was crucial, as Tranmere search for a "young, enthusiastic, talented, ball winning midfielder", who could well be former Huddersfield Town midfielder Adnan Ahmed, who has been strongly linked with the club this week.
