Despite being down to ten men for 43 minutes of the second half, Tranmere battled on to get a good point and a terrific away clean sheet as they maintain their decent defensive record for the season.
Goodison himself shook off a head injury which he picked up after recieving an accidental blow to the head in the first half from Tranmere 'keeper Coyne to put in a magnificent display in the Rovers defence, whilst were it not for a terrific save from Coyne in second-half injury time with his feet, Rovers would have lost the game.
This is the second time that Goodison has made the team of the week this season.
