Rovers name candidates

As suggested in the local media over the past 24 hours, the three candidates left in the running for the Tranmere Rovers job are Craig Levien, Martin Allen and Ronnie Moore.

Moore is a former Rovers player and former Rotherham and Oldham manager, he left Oldham earlier today.

Martin "Mad Dog" Allen is a fiesty young manager with lots of passion and commitment, he has led three play-off charges but failed three times, one with Barnet in the Conference and twice with Brentford in League One.

Craig Levien meanwhile was at Leicester for a number of months this season before eventually being sacked after a poor run of form. The former Hearts and Cowdenbeath manager took Iain Hume from Rovers to the Walkers Stadium on Deadline Day in August.
