Crewe Alexandra striker come winger Mark Rivers is strongly being linked with a move to Tranmere Rovers today.

Local sources claim that Rovers manager Brian Little is a keen admirer of Rivers and that he is willing to sign the proven Championship player who wants a move away from his employers.

Rivers, who was strongly linked with Rovers in the summer also, has said he would like to move away from Crewe as soon as possibly but will continue to give 110% whilst playing for The Alex.

In his career, Rivers has played for Norwich City and of course his employers now, Crewe.  In his time at Gresty Road, 30 year old has made a total of 286 appearences, scoring 69 goals.

If local media sources are to believe, Rivers could sail his way to Prenton Park during the January transfer window.
