Q and A with a Rotherham fan

Last updated : 02 January 2006 By Matthew Jones
Who are you, what’s your age and how long have you been supporting The Millers?

Im Bigrich, editor of the unofficial Millers website RotherhamUnited.co.uk, I’m 30 and been following the Millers for 16 years.

What’s your favourite away ground in League one?

Theres a lot changed since our last flirt with this division, for some strange reason I like oldhams away stand, and its easy to get to..

Have you had any previous trips to Prenton Park?

Nope, our paths haven’t crossed much and this will be my first visit to your place.

Since sacking your manager, you’ve improved. Was sacking Harford the right thing to do?

Well, we have’nt changed the way we’re playing much at all, however our defenders have stopped making silly mistakes (touch wood). And at last we’re not having such bad luck!

After a poor start to the season, you’ve started to pick up points. How do you think you will play against the Rovers?

If we can carry on how we have been playing then we should give you a game, however we will have to be on the ball as we seem to get caught out against pacey forwards.

You’ve lost Deon Burton to Sheffield Wednesday, how will this effect the team?

Ask me later, although I do worry where the goals will come from as he ahs scored 50% of the teams goals so far this season.

Who’s your biggest threat now Mr. Burton has left?

We still have Martin Butler up front who can do the business, but since illness last season he has not looked anything like. Lee Williamson likes to have a shot from midfield.

Are there any youngsters to watch out for?

Will Hoskins England u20 striker, burst onto the scene a couple of years ago with 2 goals against Wigan, but done nothing since as hes not had the chance, with Burton going his chance is now!!

Will you have a near enough full strength team out?

We only have 14 professionals so take that as you will.

What formation are you likely to field?

442.

How many supporters are you likely to bring, and are you coming yourself?

I will be there, a rough guessitmate at 400-500.

Do you see either Rotherham or Tranmere going up or down?

No, think you’ll be alright and we’ll just scrape it if we get a goalscorer.

Who do you see getting relegated and promoted [aswell if yes to above]?

Franchise, Blackpool, Swindon and maybe Yeovil.

And finally, your prediction for the game?

1-1 draw.
