Tranmere Rovers Manager Ronnie Moore has today boosted his squad ahead of the final run-in to the end of the season by adding 18 year old winger Danny Mayor on a month long loan deal from Championship side Preston North end.

The 18-year old signed his first professional contract with Preston North End in December 2008 and has impressed in their Reserve side this season including last week when the Preston Reserve side played against Rovers' second string in front of Rovers Boss Ronnie Moore - clearly a reason behind today's move for the youngster.

Rovers Manager Ronnie Moore told the Tranmere Rovers Official Website….

"I've watched Danny on several occasions, including our Reserve match against Preston last week when he was outstanding.  He's a hard working winger who can go past people and has a trick up his sleeve."

"I'd like to thank Preston Manager Alan Irvine for allowing him to come to us for a month."

Mayor will go straight into the squad for Saturday's away trip to Northampton Town at the Sixfields Stadium in Coca Cola League One.
