Tranmere manager, Brian Little, is set to activate the 24-hour recall clause Rovers agreed with Wrexham over the loan off Paul Linwood.
Little is looking for cover in defence, and in midfield, after key central midfielder Mark Rankine injured his hamstring in training on Friday.
Linwood, 21, has just started his second month at the Racecourse after Tranmere and Wrexham agreed a deal to keep him there for a further month.
