Morecambe vs. Tranmere

Last updated : 24 July 2007 By Matthew Jones
Tranmere will tonight play their first match against League opposition since the final day of the season, as they paly newly promoted League Two side Morecambe.

Ronnie Moore is again set to field a strong XI, with triallist Christian D'Bale set to be handed another opportunity to impress as his trial period continues.

Injury doubts still hang over Robbie Stockdale, John Mullin and Ben Chorley, meaning the likes of Holmes, Henry and Johnston could all get another run out in the first team.

Again, Ronnie Moore has stated his wish not to put out two different teams as he looks to build up the squads fitness for the new season.

Kick off is 7.45 at Christie Park.

Tomorrow night, Rovers will field a similar side as they take on Southport at Haige Avenue, again a friendly. This match kicks off at 7.30.
