Both players are out of contract this summer and the new boss is hoping that he can keep at least one of the solid central defenders at the club.
"I'm talking to a couple of players on Friday to have a chat" the new boss said. "We'll see what the situation is with Ian Sharps.
"I need to talk to Ian Goodison as well about his contract."
Currently, Rovers have only nine players with first team experience under contract for next season, of which one is out until Christmas (John Achterberg) and none of Central Defenders.
