Tranmere Rovers' player/coach Jason McAteer has had the red card shown to him by Mr. P. Mellin on during Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Bristol City at Prenton Park rescinded.

34-year old McAteer is now available to play in Rovers final two games of the season against MK Dons and Doncastor after a F.A. Disciplinary Commision decided that the former Liverpool and Blackburn player did not deserve to be sent off on Saturday.

This comes as a huge relief to Brian Little, who was already without Sam Aiston (injury), Stephen O'Leary (suspension) and Mark Rankine (left club) in the midfield department.
