Little to make transfer market adventure in January

Tranmere manager Brian Little has admitted that if Tranmere are to be serious contenders for promotion to the Coca-Cola Championship this season, he will have to take a visit to the transfer market during January.

Little admitted that last season, he should have looked into the transfer market so Tranmere could make that last push, but this season, having lost key players Ryan Taylor and Iain Hume (who have departed to Wigan Athletic and Leicester City respectively) Little thinks he will definatly have to find replacements for these two players.

Little: "Iain and Ryan will be very hard to replace, so we will need to look into the transfer market quite often to find some replacements. Against Bournemouth, Oliver James was on the bench whilst Paul Henry travelled with us. Niether have been with the first team this season, and although it is good for them, it is not the position we want to be in and not a position we found ourselves in last season."
