Last season, Tranmere had a great run in the LDV Vans Trophy Northern Section, getting to the Semi-Final, when they were drawn away to Oldham Athletic, who were lucky to win on penalties. Ironically, Alex Bruce, currently a Tranmere player scored the winning goal that night.
This season, Rovers will be hoping to go that extra two steps further and win the competition.
The game will be played during the week commencing 17th October.
