Huddersfield Town manager Peter Jackson has ruled out a move for Tranmere Rovers' central defender Ian Sharps.

Reports this morning suggested that the Rovers Number 5 was set to join Huddersfield on a free-transfer, but Jackson has responded to speculation by saying "I can confirm that there has been no contact on that front."

This is certainlly good news for Rovers, who have 13 other players out of contract, not including Sharps, who has been with the club all his life and made his debut in 1998 at Sunderland in Division One.
