Tranmere have extended the loan stay of Sheffield United defender Simon Francis by a further month.

Francis has made five appearences for Rovers since signing, making his debut away to Scunthorpe in November, playing at right-back in all five appearences

In those five appearences, Simon has scored one goal at home to Swansea and he assisted Delroy Facey's goal to Blackpool.

Francis' loan was due to end today, but the extension means he will stay on and his next game will be Walsall away on Boxing Day as he is eligible for the LDV Vans Trophy.
