Defensive worries

Tranmere Rovers will be without three key defenders for their LDV Vans Trophy Northern Section Second Round match with Rochdale at Prenton Park on Tuesday evening.

Right-back Paul Linwood will miss the match after injuring his knee during Rovers' win over Scunthorpe at Glanford Park this weekend. Linwood will have a scan Tuesday, which will determine how long he will be on the sidelines. Whilst Left-back Carl Tremaco will miss out after picking up a foot injury during training. The third defender to miss out will be on-loan Simon Francis, who is Cup Tied following an appearence for Grimsby in the first round earlier this season.

Meanwhile, Steven Davies is back in contention for a first team place following recovery from his injury sustained against MK Dons on 12th of November.

Rovers only other injury worry is Jason McAteer, who should be fit in time for Rovers midweek trip to Barnsley on 6th December.
