Deadline Day

At 5:00pm today the deadline for signing players on-loan closed until the end of the 2005/06 season. But who have Tranmere captured on loan since 1st January 2006?

Dino Seremet, 1st January - 31st March from Luton Town. Has been a successful ever present goalkeeper in his time at Tranmere where he become a firm favourite and many would like to see him return come July.

Steven O'Leary, 5th January - 7th May from Luton Town. Another player who has been successful since returning on-loan in January. Netting two goals from midfield against Gillingham and Chesterfield.

Simon Francis, 17th November - 19th February from Sheffield United. Some people may consider the right-back to be one of the players of the season after his brilliant three month loan spell at Prenton Park. The right-back netted one goal against Swansea but assisted many others.

David Raven, 31st January - 7th May from Liverpool. Raven signed on-loan as a replacement for Simon Francis from Liverpool and after a shakey start the former Rovers season ticket holder has begun to show his worth after a voted Man of the Match performance vs. Walsall.

Matthew Murray, 21st March - 7th May from Wolves. Murray is yet to make his debut after signing from Wolves just two days ago but is expected to be a brilliant replacement for Dino Seremet in goal.

Brian Little has so far fielded five players on-loan from other clubs since January 1st, and in total six all season (inc. Alex Bruce from Birmingham City).

Unfortunatly for Rovers, it is only possible to have four players on-loan from other clubs in your squad at one time and therefore Brian Little hasn't recently been able to sign the loan player that may have improved Rovers on the wing or in the centre of midfield.

However, I'm sure most Rovers fans would agree with me when I say the players that the Boss has brought in on-loan in 2006 have been very successful and help to improve Rovers league position, ever so slightly.
