Davies signs pro

Steve Davies today signed a professional contract with Tranmere Rovers which will keep the 17-year-old at Prenton Park until 2008. It is thought that Rovers have heald off offers from intrested Premiership clubs including Liverpool and Arsenal.
Davies has earned the contract after a very good pre-season. Scoring two goals away to Vauxhall Motors in the 3-0 friendly win, and netting the injury time winner against Manchester City in the friendly at Prenton Park, his first senior game at Prenton Park.
