Coyne Returns
Welsh International goalkeeper Danny Coyne has returned to Prenton Park after the 33-year old agreed a two year contract with the club.

Coyne made more than 100 appearances for Tranmere, where he began his career, between 1992 and 1999 before moving on to Grimsby where he made over 200 appearances and later Leicester City and Burnley, by whom he was released this summer.

Coyne is a replacement for Gavin Ward who was released by Tranmere in June and it is believed Rovers have fought off strong competition from Championship clubs to secure the goalkeeper's signature.

On the transfer, Coyne said "I can't wait to start playing at Prenton Park again" whilst manager Ronnie Moore said "I honestly believe we've got the best goalkeeper in League One with the signing of Danny".

Coyne is the third addition to the Tranmere staff today after the earlier arrivals of Ben Chorley and Peter Shirtliff.
