Tranmere have today signed Cardiff City winger Kevin Cooper on an initial one-month load deal as cover for the injured Steven Davies.

A left-winger, Cooper has been in the professional game fourteen years and has transfered between clubs for nearly £2,000,000.

In his career, the 32-year old has played for nine different clubs, including Cardiff, Sunderland, Derby (where he started his career) and Wolves. He has made close to 350 career appearances and scored 48 goals.

Ronnie Moore is delighted with the signing, with the Tranmere boss having been searching for a new left-winger for a couple of weeks since the extent of Davies' injury was announced.

The Rovers manager said "This is a great signing for the club".

"He is an experienced winger who likes to get the ball into the box and can take on defenders.".

Cooper will be available to play for Tranmere against Huddersfield Town tomorrow night in Coca-Cola League One and is available to play in the FA Cup also.
