When Rovers travelled to Whaddon Road to face Cheltenham in the second game of the season back in August, an early goal from Kayode Odejayi was enough to seal the points for the hosts and give them their first win of the season whilst also inflicting Rovers first defeat.
Since then the teams have gone their opposite ways in the League with Rovers of course sitting in the last play-off spot whilst Cheltenham lie fifth from bottom in the table, level on points with the last relegation place.
Rovers have won their last two matches and have only lost one of their last six home games whilst Town have won their last three games but have only won one of their last six on the road.
Tuesday's meeting between the two teams will only be the fourth ever meeting between the Clubs in the League and so far Cheltenham have won both of their home games and Rovers have won the one and only meeting at Prenton Park.
Get behind the lads and let's hope for nine points out of nine from our last three games come Wednesday morning.
Tranmere Rovers
Once again Rovers have defensive problems with Ian Goodison still injured despite playing 90 minutes at Yeovil on Saturday and Robbie Stockdale also injured in that game and looking set to miss out as well.
Goalkeeper John Achterberg who limped off at Yeovil, may miss the rest of the season and will be replaced on Tuesday by Gavin Ward.
