Alexander to be handed job?

Ex-Lincoln City boss Kieth Alexander has been interviewed for the vacant managers post at Tranmere Rovers.

Alexander resigned from Lincoln yesterday after four successive seasons of Play-Off heart ache, this year losing to Grimsby Town.

It is understood that Alexander will be appointed Rovers new boss with the next few days, or more likely, when the season ticket deadline runs out.

Should he be appointed, he would once again become the only black manager in the football league, following Swindon sacking Iffy Onoura earlier this month.
