Parry targets success next year

Exeter came into the match hoping to break into the play-off places after a fine run of form but had no answer to goals from Michael Kay and Enoch Showunmi to add to Lucas Akins' brace as Rovers secured their League One status.

Parry said: "We caused them all sorts of problems. It was a terrific performance. Things went well for us throughout.

"Any neutral would have thought we were the side pushing for a top-six place. It was nice to win by such a big margin and the fourth goal put the icing on the cake for us.

"There was a lot more confidence in our play and we showed just what we can do.

"We can start to think about next season now we are mathematically safe. Hopefully, we will be pushing for a promotion place."
