Last updated : 18 August 2006 By Matthew Jones

Chris Greenacre will be looking to add to his tally of four goals for Tranmere against Yeovil
Saturday will see Somerset's Yeovil Town make only their second ever trip to Prenton Park, the first coming last season.

Last season, both Yeovil and Tranmere finished in the bottom half of the table, just three places and two points apart, but this season, whilst Tranmere are expected to be a lot stronger under new boss Ronnie Moore, Yeovil are expected to struggle after last seasons leading goalscorer Phil Jevons (ex-Everton) re-joined Gary Johnson at Bristol City.

Meanwhile, Yeovil will turn up at Prenton Park wearing their new Black and Gold away kit for the first time this season, will it bring them the luck they need against Tranmere Rovers?

Yeovil Town Profile:

Formed: 1895

Ground: Huish Park

Manager: Russell Slade

Nickname: The Glovers

Season Finish 2005/06: 15th (Coca-Cola League One)

Previous Meetings:

Yeovil and Tranmere have only met twice, both last season in Coca-Cola League One. On each occassion, Chris Greenacre scored for Rovers, netting in total, four goals against The Glovers.

At
Prenton Park on August 28th, Rovers won 4-1, scoring four second half goals after Phil Jevons had given Yeovil the lead. Chris Greenacre started the ball rolling after 50 minutes for Rovers, before Zola, a half time substitute, scored in the 72nd to put Rovers ahead and then Greenacre netted twice, in the 74th and 86th minute to complete his hatrick.

The return fixture at Yeovil, on a very cold and wet March day ended 2-2. Mistakes from Matt Murray, making his debut, allowed Yeovil to twice take the lead in the 5th and 69th minute through Matt Harrold, but first Ian Goodison in the 39th minute and then Chris Greenacre in the 77th minute equalised for Rovers, earning them their first point at
Huish Park.

Vital Stats:

Tranmere have only ever played
Yeovil Town twice.

Chris Greenacre averages two goals per game against
Yeovil Town, when playing for Tranmere.

Yeovil Town have never beaten Tranmere.

Rovers have won four consecutive games on 19th August, against
Gillingham (3-2, 2000), Sheffield United (2-0, 1995), Blackpool (3-0, 1992) and Fulham (2-1, 1989).

In 1950, Rovers beat York City 7-2 on 19th August

The Form Book:

Tranmere First Three Games: WLD
Yeovil First Three Games: DDW

Whilst Tranmere have still only scored one goal in 270 minutes of football this season, Yeovil have scored three and picked up five points this season, as they remain unbeaten.

Their first two games of the season were draws, firstly away to Millwall (1-1) and then in their first home game of the season, drawing 0-0 with
Bournemouth.

However, they kicked off last weekend with a 2-1 win over Carlisle United at
Huish Park, thanks to first half goals from Cohen and Welsh.

Tranmere meanwhile have had an uncertain start to the season. After a great 1-0 win over
Oldham on the opening day, they have failed to score in their next two games.

A 1-0 defeat at
Cheltenham meant they really needed to pick up three points at Doncaster, but a 0-0 draw followed, meaning they have still only scored once in 270 minutes this season.

Team News:

Rovers will miss Ian Goodison and Danny Harrison for their fourth game of the season, but Goodison is expected to return for the midweek game against
Hull in the Carling Cup next Tuesday.

Yeovil meanwhile have no injury worries at all.

Jones' Prediction: Tranmere 2-0 Yeovil
