Saturday see's Tranmere play Leyton Orient for the first time at Prenton Park since 17th September 1990.

So much has changed for both teams since then, as the O's slipped to League Two before moving back into League One whilst Rovers spent a long spell in The Coca-Cola Championship.

This season has been mixed fortunes for each side aswell, with a win potentially taking Tranmere to the top whilst after five games, Orient lie 14th and could fall into the relegation zone.

The Form Book:

Tranmere First 6 Games: WDLWLW
Leyton Orient First 6 Games: LWWLLL

Due to being drawn at home in the first round of The Carling Cup, Leyton Orient have only played two away games so far this season. This may be a good thing, as in both their away games, they have lost, 3-0 on the opening day at Port Vale and 3-1 at Carlisle.

From their three home games, Orient have struck much better form, beating Millwall 2-0 midweek and then following that vicotyr witha 3-2 win over Bournemouth four days later.

Their Carling Cup game at Brisbane Road was one that ended in heavy defeat, 3-0 live on Sky Television to West Brom.

Tranmere meanwhile have been much more consistent. They have won their only two home games, 1-0 against Oldham on the opening day and then 2-1 over Yeovil two weeks ago.

Their away form has been slighly inconsistent. On Tuesday 8th August, their first away game of the season, Rovers were defeated 1-0 at Cheltenham before drawing 0-0 with Doncaster at Belle Vue four days later.

These away games were followed by a extra time 2-1 defeat in the Carling Cup at Hull, after leading 1-0 before winning 2-0 at Chesterfield last season, courtesy of an own goal and a tidy finish from Gareth Taylor.

Tranmere Team News:

Rovers are likely to name the same line up that won at Chesterfield last Saturday. Calvin Zola and Danny Harrison remain on the sidelines through injury.

Jones' Prediction: Tranmere 2-0 Leyton Orient
