| Defender Danny Holmes is a product of the Tranmere Rovers academy who signed his first professional contract in 2007. Holmes is a tough tackling player, with pace and strength, who is predominantly a right-back although he can alos slot in at centre-back. During the 2007/08 season, after some impressive performances for the reserves, Holmes spent time out on loan at Blue Square Conference side Southport. During his two-month stint with the Sandgrounders, Holmes thoroughly impressed and he is now knocking on the door to the Tranmere first team. |
