The major incident of the afternoon came when Ossett’s keeper Mick Clarke suffered a badly broken arm in a collision and the game was held up for forty minutes whilst he received treatment before being taken to hospital were he was later successfully operated on.

At the top of the table Vauxhall maintained their position with a 2-0 win over Winsford. Ashton meanwhile were unable to break down North Ferriby’s defence and consequently had to settle for a point after a goalless draw. Bradford are now level on points with Ashton after recording a cracking 5-2 win away to Workington.

Elsewhere Stocksbridge Park Steels enjoyed a comfortable three nil victory over struggling Congleton. Chorley got the better of the Badgers by a 3-1 scoreline whilst Farsley Celtic netted two goals without reply against Gretna.

Kendal and Radcliffe both earned a point apiece from scoreless draws on their home turf, against Harrogate and Guiseley respectively. Matlock secured a vital three points at the expense of Trafford and Lincoln Utd overcame Witton with surprising ease to win by a three goal margin.
