Ossett Town recorded the biggest win of the day with an excellent 5-1 win against Tadcaster. An early strike from Scott Jackson opened the floodgates in the 5th minute.

Ossett doubled their advantage after 23 minutes when Paul Sykes met a deep cross from the right with a header that flew into the net. Tadcaster fought back briefly and reduced the deficit courtesy of a goal from Howley.

Ossett soon got back on track with a strike from Aspinall and wrapped up a resounding win with second half efforts from Jackson and Sykes.

Kendal Town were another side to record an emphatic victory, registering a four goal winning margin over Consett. The home side were a goal to the good at the interval thanks to a Stuart Diggle goal.

Consett had opportunities to equalise in the second period before three goals in the final quarter of an hour, courtesy of Rogan, Foster and Hayton, saw Kendal through to the next round.

An exciting tie at Spennymoor ended in victory for the home side who just edged a six goal thriller. Spennymoor opened the scoring ten minutes before the break.

A minute after the break Mossley were level when Wosahlo netted following a mazy run by Mallinson. The teams then swapped goals again with McGinlay netting for Spennymoor and Kemp for the away side.

Spennymoor were then reduced to ten men before hitting two late goals courtesy of Suddick and Elrington.

There was another six goal thriller, this time at Radcliffe were the home side drew with Atherton LR. Radcliffe got off to a flying start netting two goals in the opening five minutes thanks to Landon and Walker.

Atherton fought back to reduce the deficit courtesy of a Jones goal. Atherton equalised on the hour mark through Mark Read.

With five minutes left Radcliffe appeared to have won the tie when they edged ahead with a Scott Wilson goal. Atherton were determined not to leave empty handed however and deservedly snatched a late leveller when Massay fired home.

Farsley and Workington both won their ties by a single goal margin. Celtic overcoming Trafford and the Reds seeing off the challenge of Penrith thanks to an own goal which was headed into his own net by Andy Fell. Belper were another side to score the only goal of the game. Their hero against Paget was Carl Cunningham.

Famed cup fighters Bedlington Terriers coasted to an emphatic three goal victory at Ossett Albion. All the goals arrived in the second half, The first from the penalty spot after Dean Gibb was brought down. John Milner converted the spot kick. The second arrived in the 73rd minute courtesy of Cockburn. Dean Gibb sealed the Terriers victory with a powerful shot in the 82nd minute.

Another team to enjoy an emphatic win were Lincoln Utd who saw off the challenge of Spalding. Lincoln almost took an early lead when Gilbert headed against the crossbar. The woodwork was struck again when a Tomlinson cross hit the post.

Lincoln eventually took the lead in the 16th minute when Tomlinson slotted the ball home. Tomlinson netted a second goal for Lincoln nine minutes later. The striker went on to complete his hat-trick in the 65th minute before being sent off following an off the ball incident 19 minutes from time.

Matlock Town are through to the next stage after being given a hard time by the visiting Holbeach team. Holbeach had a goal disallowed in the 32nd minute and then saw the Gladiators snatch the lead with a Sucharewycz goal.

Ian Clarke side footed Matlock’s second goal of the afternoon before the away side gave themselves hope when Taylor scored in the 72nd. Holbeach then pressed for an equaliser but were undone once more when Capuano scored following a Matlock corner kick.
